Concept:
“Nostalgia”. The word
nostalgia tells us a story; a story about something in the past and something
in the present as it connects the two in an emotional way. Typically, the term nostalgia describes sentimentality for the past, for a period or place with happy
personal associations.
Growing up, we change as we move on
and therefore create new presents living our pasts somewhere hidden behind us.
Some are happy with what they have in their presents but some are nostalgic
about their pasts, things they did and places they visited; nostalgic about a
certain mood or feeling from the past.
As an artist I have suppressed my
love for painting six years ago when architecture became an important part in
my life. I fell in love with the straight line and the creation of a space that
I have forgotten how good painting made me feel. These few pieces of work merge
my present with my past; relate architecture with colours. Geometric shapes are

Ιδέα / Θέμα:
«Νοσταλγία». Η λέξη νοσταλγία μας λέει μια ιστορία, μια ιστορία για κάτι
στο παρελθόν και κάτι στο παρόν, καθώς συνδέει τα δύο με ένα συναισθηματικό
τρόπο. Συνήθως, ο όρος νοσταλγία περιγράφει συναισθηματισμό για το παρελθόν,
για μια περίοδο ή μέρος με χαρούμενες προσωπικές αναμνήσεις.
Μεγαλώνοντας, αλλάζουμε καθώς προχωρούμε και ως εκ τούτου δημιουργούμε
ενα νέο παρόν αφήνωντας το παρελθόν μας κάπου κρυμμένο. Κάποιοι είναι
ευχαριστημένοι με αυτό που έχουν στο ‘τώρα’, αλλά μερικοί νοσταλγούν το
παρελθόν τους, πράγματα που έκαναν και τους τόπους που επισκέφτηκαν, νοσταλγούν
μια συγκεκριμένη διάθεση ή συναίσθημα από το παρελθόν.
Ως καλλιτέχνης έχω καταπιέσει την αγάπη μου για τη ζωγραφική πριν από
έξι χρόνια, όταν η αρχιτεκτονική έγινε ένα σημαντικό μέρος της ζωής μου.
Ερωτέυτηκα την ευθεία γραμμή και τη δημιουργία ενός χώρου και έχω ξεχάσει πόσο
καλά με έκανε να αισθάνομαι η τέχνη στην πιο απλή της μορφή. Αυτά τα λίγα έργα
μου, συγχωνεύουν το παρόν μου με το παρελθόν μου, παντρεύουν την αρχιτεκτονική
με τα χρώματα. Γεωμετρικά σχήματα νοσταλγούν τη ζωή μέσα από την ένταση των
χρωμάτων, όπως νοσταλγώ κι εγώ...
